Mulled cider at Moorleaze

We hosted our annual mulled cider evening yesterday - whilst it wasn't snowing this year it was at least dry and mild.  Lots of guests joined us to celebrate their Christmas holiday at Moorleaze, and (as always) we demolished a goodly amount of cider.  Claire, our daughter, made some delicious biscuits and they went down a storm.

A number of guests asked for the recipe: 3 parts Somerset cider to 1 part ginger beer; mulled spice sachets and cinnamon sticks; satsuma segments; apple cubes; a dash of honey.  Gently simmer and serve hot (we put the pots on a BBQ to keep warm). A splash of sloe gin never goes amiss either!
